Yemen’s government and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) have issued tenders inviting bids from developers for four solar projects. These vary from street lighting to a 300 kW array.
The United Nations Development Programme has released tenders inviting bids for the supply, installation, and commissioning of four solar project categories in Yemen.
The last date to submit bids is October 30, 2023.
The division of categories of projects is as follows:
Category 1: Off-grid solar PV systems ranging from 0.5 KW to 45 KW, with a 540 W minimum module requirement
Category: An “All in Two” solar street lighting project that includes lanterns and torches
Category 3: Solar power water pumping systems
Category: On-ground PV systems with installed capacities ranging from 20 KW to 300 KW
All the projects are to be commissioned within 120 days from signing of the PPA.
