TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation Middle East & Africa (DG MEA), a subsidiary of TotalEnergies, has inked a significant deal with the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) to embark on the construction of a 4.6-megawatt-peak (MWp) solar photovoltaic project atop its rooftops. This agreement marks a significant leap towards embracing sustainable energy practices in Oman, enhancing the country’s green infrastructure.
It is expected to produce over 7,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity annually, this initiative positions OCEC at the forefront of environmentally conscious venues within Oman. The envisaged output from the 4.6 MWp solar rooftop installation will suffice to meet OCEC’s entire annual electricity demand.
