Setting a new standard for sustainable finance in Qatar, Standard Chartered Bank and global technology major Siemens Energy have joined hands to issue the first green guarantee for a solar power project in Qatar. The project will be playing a major role in the country’s national climate change action plan that will also help reduce its carbon footprint and boost energy independence.
This initiative is expected to increase sustainable and responsible banking practices in Qatar and helping to redefine the standard for the industry.
