The 49th edition of Middle East Energy (MEE) will take place from April 7 to 9, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The event will focus on technologies related to battery systems and electric mobility, reflecting the growing interest in renewable energy and electrification in the region. The event is organized by Informa Markets and will be held under the backing of the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure.
The Middle East Energy exhibition aligns with the region’s increasing focus on renewable energy projects. Several countries in the Middle East have recently announced or launched large-scale renewable energy initiatives. For instance, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in the UAE, which is the world’s largest single-site solar park, is expected to reach 5,000 megawatts of capacity by 2030. Saudi Arabia has also advanced its renewable energy agenda, with projects such as the Sudair Solar Plant, aiming to produce 1,500 megawatts of power. Additionally, Oman has started to work on the Green Hydrogen Project, expected to contribute to the global hydrogen market.
The main feature of MEE 2025 will be the debut of The Battery Show Middle East, which will showcase advancements in battery storage and electric vehicle technologies. This platform will host over 500 suppliers. Discussions will address topics such as alternative battery materials, electric vehicle manufacturing, and the role of battery technology in renewable energy storage.
The event will also include six CPD-accredited conferences covering subjects such as energy transition, innovation in solar technology, and leadership in the energy sector. The conferences aim to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to explore challenges and opportunities in the renewable energy landscape.
