Representatives from several Omani energy companies attended the meeting, including Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC), Nama Power and Water Procurement Company, HYDROM (Hydrogen Oman), and Oman LNG.
From Korea, participants included representatives from organizations and companies involved in energy-related industries, such as the Korea Electric Power Research Institute (KEPRI), Hyosung Heavy Industries, POSCO Holdings, GS Energy, Samsung E&C, and LS Cable & System.
Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Korea and Oman across the renewable energy value chain. This included topics such as power generation, storage, transport, and improving technological solutions to enhance the efficiency of renewable energy projects.
The roundtable also launched Korea’s 2024-2025 Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP) with Oman. This program aims to share knowledge and best practices between the two countries, particularly in integrating renewable energy into national power systems and improving reliability and efficiency.
KIM Kiejoo, Korea’s Ambassador to Oman, emphasized the potential for both countries to collaborate in the renewable energy sector. He expressed hope that the partnership will continue to grow and lead to mutually beneficial outcomes.
