The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Egypt, Tarek El Molla has recently announced in a press statement that a new law of incentives will be ratified soon on the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
The Minister informed that the country will soon be completing the national green hydrogen production strategy and further pointed out that it will include a governance structure that will be in accordance with the best international practices. He hoped that the laws would further boost the investments in Egypt in the field of green hydrogen.
World over, the significance of Green Hydrogen is being recognised and more countries are formulating a policy around it. Last year, Renewable energy conglomerate, ReNew Power and the Egyptian government have signed a framework agreement for the construction of an $8 billion green hydrogen plant in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
