North Abu Qir for Agricultural Nutrients and China Energy Engineering Corp have joined forces by way of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up a green hydrogen project which will be established at the the agricultural firm’s premises. Yemen’s government and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) have issued tenders inviting bids from developers for four solar projects. These vary from street lighting to a 300 kW array. UAE based lean energy firm Masdar has sealed agreements for solar and onshore wind projects in Azerbaijan. These agreements boast a total capacity of 1 GW. The agreements were preceded by the launch of the 230 MW Garadagh Solar Park, which is the largest operational solar plant in the area. It also is Azerbaijan’s maiden foreign investment-based independent solar power project. The Environment Agency- Abu Dhabi (EAD) has joined hands with TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation (DG) Middle East and Africa, to pave the path for distributed solar energy solutions with the employment solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. This is for the agency’s Plant Genetic Resource Centre in Al Ain that has been established recently. Under the agreement, TotalEnergies will establish a 330 kWp solar carport for the Genetic Laboratory unit in located Al Ain.
