India’s Minister of New & Renewable Energy, Raj Kumar Singh has revealed that India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are on their way to enter into a “major agreement”. UAE renewable energy conglomerate Masdar has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Energy, Kyrgyzstan, to develop a pipeline of renewable projects in the Central Asian country, with a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt (GW). The firm will first develop a 200 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant. The 200 MW plant is scheduled to begin operation by 2026. The United Kingdom-based Hive Energy has said that it will be investing $4 billion for the development of solar power projects with energy storage facilities in Turkey. As per reports, the company will be constructing the projects through joint ventures with two partners based out of Turkey itself. Hive Energy is headquartered in Hampshire in South East England. Neom Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) has signed multiple financial facility agreements with local, regional and international banks and financial institutions to support the construction of the world’s largest green hydrogen production plant in Neom, the sustainable city project in Saudi Arabia. Set up by Abu Dhabi Fund for Development for financial purposes, the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX), will provide loan worth AED92 million ($25 million) to augment the capacity of a solar facility in Togo, West Africa.
