Bahrain will be setting up a solar park project with a capacity of 72 megawatts as the country looks to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060. A new method to efficiently produce clean green hydrogen at low costs has been developed by Israeli researchers. Hydrogen is necessary raw material in industry and agriculture and is mainly produced from coal or natural gas. With the aim of developing the health sector in Gaza, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has provided Palestine Red Crescent Society’s (PRCS) Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza with a solar power system. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has selected the state-owned renewable energy firm Masdar for the construction and management of the 1,800-megawatt (MW) phase 6 of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. Saudi Arabia firm ACWA Power has installed one of the largest wind turbines in Central Asia, in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan.
