Switzerland based Kuehne+Nagel has secured a contract from the leading global wind turbine supplier Envision Energy to transport 190 wind turbine generators (WTG) and 67 tower sets to Saudi Arabia’s new special economic zone, NEOM. Egypt’s Pathfinder Energy Group has joined hands with the Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and East Gas Company to establish electric vehicle charging stations in Jordan, powered by green energy. In a step towards fulfilling the country’s 2020-2030 Energy Strategy, Jordan has an ambitious plan to build a major solar panel factory, in the south-east Amman airport area. The factory will cost around 100 million Jordanian dinars (around 141 million U.S. dollars) and is expected to create more than 500 jobs.
