A developer, investor, co-owner and operator of a portfolio of power generation, renewable energy and desalinated water production plants, ACWA Power, has joined hands with Zenith Energy Terminals, GasLog, and Port of Amsterdam. The partnership was forged at the Saudi-EU Investment Forum in Riyadh and sets sights on gauging the viability of a green hydrogen export corridor that links ACWA Power’s global hydrogen production sites with the port of Amsterdam.
A leader in the green hydrogen sector, ACWA Power boasts projects worldwide including the US$8.5 billion NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia.
ACWA Power, Zenith Energy Terminals, and GasLog will undertake a feasibility study to set up a trade corridor for liquefied green hydrogen between the production sites of ACWA and the port of Amsterdam. The study will make way for a potential Joint Development Agreement (JDA), encouraging potential buyers near the port.
Zenith Energy Terminals is establishing an open-access liquid hydrogen import unit in Amsterdam, giving ACWA Power and other producers access to Dutch and European hydrogen markets.
